why am I giving this fabulous tote away?
I love purses. If you’ve read Megan Blogs (my other blog), you know that I have what amounts to a serious addiction for purses. I love buying them, wearing them, and also giving them as gifts to my near and dear. No matter how crappy or bloated or plain-old-fat I’d feel, I’d dangle one of these beauties on my arm and instantly feel like a million bucks! I don’t know of any other kind of fashion article that can do that, every time. If their price tag is any indication, I’d say I have a pretty good taste in purses. There’s something about a unique design, the execution of a clever idea that makes it unusual yet classical enough not to go out of style the very next season, the luscious material, the quality of the craftsmanship, oh, I could go on for hours about purses…
I bought this one for my mom. She keeps it for a couple of years then gives it back to me unused, tags still attached, in its original packaging, with: “I don’t think I want this. Here, sell it back”, like I’m in the business of selling bags! I paid a little over $500 for it (on sale). I loved this tote; in fact I loved it so much I bought it for my own mom! So… instead of wallowing in my hurt feelings, I’m turning lemons into lemonade by giving this away to one of you to give to your own momma, or special someone, or use it yourself.

Hi Megan,
I must say that my absolute top two favorite handbag designers are Christian Dior & Chanel. Both offer a timeless elegance with their signature bags, Lady Dior & the Chanel 2.55 bags respectively, while maintaining a modernity that is continually imitated but never duplicated. The history of both handbags & their respective fashion houses is quite remarkable & always puts a smile on my face.

I love Dooney Burke, Coach but Louis Vuitton is a family favorite…… I am more in the diaper bag buying stage atm and I think Petunia Pickle Bottom ‘diaper’ bags are my favorite bags to carry since I have a small child.
A good friend of mine actually used her Louis Vuitton as a diaper bag, Audrey. She said if she had to carry all that …stuff, she might as well do it with style

I remember a really nice Coach Handbag I had growing up.
One of my first designer purses was a pre-owned Prada, Cheryl, and my daughter always asks me if I will give it to her when she grows up (which I will, of course). Funny how things we grow up with have so much impact on our future tastes
